Laura Anfossi is Full Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the University of Turin, Italy. Her research focuses on the development of innovative immunochemical methods, with particular emphasis on lateral flow assays and point-of-need diagnostic platforms. Her interests include the use of functional nanomaterials to improve assay sensitivity, enable multiplex detection and support optical, colorimetric and SERS-based readout strategies. She has contributed to the development of analytical methods for clinical, food-safety and environmental applications, also in collaboration with industrial partners. She has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed scientific publications and is co-inventor of national and international patents in the field of bioanalytical methods.

Dr. Can Dincer is currently junior research group leader at FIT & IMTEK of the University of Freiburg. The main research interest of his group "Disposable Microsystems" is the development of bioanalytical materials/sensors/microsystems and their combination with data science and artificial intelligence for various applications including diagnostics, especially for point-of-care diagnostics and wearables. Since September 2019, he is an Associate Editor of the journal “Biosensors and Bioelectronics” (Elsevier). In 2022, Dr. Dincer also joined to the International Advisory Board of the journal “Advanced Sensor Research” (Wiley).

Yasuaki Einaga received his BS (1994), MS (1996), and PhD (1999) from the University of Tokyo. After 2 years as a research associate at the University of Tokyo, he started a faculty career as an assistant professor in Keio University in 2001, where he was promoted to full professor in 2011. He has been also a research director of JST-CREST (2011-2014), JST-ACCEL (2014-2020), and NEDO (2020-). He was awarded "The Chemical Society of Japan Award for Creative Work" in 2016 and “Awards for Science and Technology” from The Commendation for Science and Technology by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in 2023 for his pioneering work in diamond electrodes. His research interests include functional materials science, photochemistry, and electrochemistry.

Andrea Idili is a Tenure-track Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemical Science and Technologies at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. He received his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry with full marks under the supervision of Prof. Francesco Ricci at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in 2017. After this period, Dr. Idili did two different postdocs in the group of Prof. Kevin W. Plaxco (University of California Santa Barbara, USA) and Prof. Arben Merkoci (Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology ICN2, Spain). His current research focuses on the development of novel DNA-based electrochemical and optical sensors able to support the real-time, continuous monitoring of diagnostically relevant molecules both in vitro and in vivo. The importance of his research is highlighted in more than 33 peer-reviewed papers published in high-impact factor journals, 1 patent, and 3 book chapters. He has received several international/national awards and fellowships in recognition of his work, including the “Marie Skłodowska-Curie individual fellowship” (ERC, 2021), “ISSNAF Awards for Young Investigators 2019” (ISSNAF, USA), the “PROBIST postdoctoral fellowship 2018” (BIST, Spain), and the “Canada-Italy Innovation Award 2013” (Embassy of Canada to Italy).

Dr. sc. Albana Veseli is a teaching assistant of Analytical Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Natural and Mathematical Science, University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”, Kosovo. She gets her Master degree in 2009 at the University of Prishtina and her PhD in 2014 at the University of Tirana in the field of ‘’Electrochemical Sensors and Biosensors for organic compounds analysis’’ in collaboration with the Institute of Analytical Chemistry at the Karl – Franzens University of Graz, Austria. Currently, she is continuing her professional development as a postdoc researcher at University of Vienna, Austria regarding ‘’Electroactive Molecularly Imprinted Polymers Nanoparticles’’. She is author and co-author of many scientific papers published in high ranking journals. She coordinated Erasmus + project between University of Prishtina, Kosovo and Keele University, UK as a National Coordinator and is part of COST action program financed by EC. Accomplished her two own Nacional scientific projects with a title ‘’Antibiotic Residues in Water near Municipalities of Kosovo: Raising Public Health Issues Awareness through University Teaching’’ and “Using Nanostructured Carbon Material to design Electrochemical Sensor for detecting the residue of Antibiotics in the Environment’’ (2017 -2021) financed by Ministry of Science and Education, Kosovo and NanoAlb unit, Academy of Science in Tirana, Albania. Voluntary work – active member of regional and local organization Western Balkan Alumni Association (WBAA) 2017-2022 and Organization of Kosovar Austrian Alumni Organization (OKAA) 2021-2023. Very good communicative and organizational abilities and capable skills on teamwork and individually.
